The TORRIX Steering Sector Shaft Brace was engineered to address more than steering box movement. It reinforces the complete interface between the steering gear, sector shaft, crossmember, and frame.
 
Constructed around a 3/16" steel structural gusset, the TORRIX system ties the steering box directly into the Jeep crossmember, creating a significantly more rigid mounting structure. An integrated frame reinforcement bracket further strengthens the steering gear mounting area, reducing frame flex and helping protect against fatigue, cracking, and eventual frame failure.
 
At the center of the system is the TORRIX precision sector shaft support.
Rather than supporting the sector shaft with a conventional bushing, TORRIX uses a bearing seated within a precision-machined housing. The machined housing maintains exact bearing position and alignment while the bearing allows the sector shaft to rotate freely with minimal deflection. The result is precise support without introducing the flex and movement associated with bushing-based designs.
 
By controlling movement at the steering gear, sector shaft, and frame simultaneously, TORRIX creates a more rigid and controlled steering system—particularly important on vehicles running larger tires and subjected to increased steering loads.
