WERX WINCHES

When things get real, performance is all that matters.

The Torrix  Werx line of winches are designed with real world durability and performance in mind.   We use larger motors and lower gear ratios to increase duty cycle, reduce amp draw and improve speeds under load. Our optional user feedback remote provides crucial winch information and features that make the work easier and more reliable.

The WERX line of winches has set a new bar, and brought winching technology from the industrial age to the age of technology... all without losing site of  why a winch is needed in the first place.

GEAR RATIO:

Winches use gearing like four-wheel drives use gearing. The WERX line of winches are designed with a lower ratio (lower gearing) planetary than others in their class. This puts less load on the motor, increasing its duty cycle and life.

MOTOR SIZE:

WERX winches use large motors than the competition.  Why,  because coupling a larger motor to a lower ratio planetary increases the duty cycle under load.  Simply put,  WERX winches are designed first for performance

AMP DRAW:

The comparison shows how many amps are drawn at full load (10,000 pounds).  The higher the amperage (amps) draw the harder the motor has to work and the quicker heat builds.  Lower amps means longer duty cycles and less risk of burning up your winch or killing your battery.

LINE SPEED:
Don't be fooled.   Many manufacturers will publish fast line speeds.  But a fast line speed comes from a high ratio.  Like your rig,  a lower ratio puts less load in a given period of time on the motor.   You don't wheel with high ratios, your winch doesn't do well with that either... and here is an interesting fact,  the higher ratios have a faster line speed at no load (when spooling the line). but are slower at full load.  The bottom line.  Fast line speeds from high ratios means more heat, lower duty cycles and less control.

SPECIFICATION COMPARISON

Note that winches with higher ratios (lower numerically) have a higher amp draw which brutally punishes the motor.  The Werx winch uses 43% fewer amps at full load than the highest amp drawing manufacturer.

GET REAL

WERX has three options for controllers,  each integrated with the winch.

- WERX V line:

The WERX V line of winches utilize our exclusive winch user Control Feedback  System which provides;

  • Amp Meter.  This tells you how many amps you're winch is drawing. It shows how hard your winch is working.

  • Volt Meter.  This tells you your  batteries voltage or State Of Charge (SOC)

  • Temperature Haptic.  Vibrates when your winch is getting close to maximum suggested temperatures.

  • Termperature warning siren in the controller  Tells you, along with the haptic hand held, that it's time to chill.

  • BlueTooth. Map out and record your pull.

  • Complete with ultra bright flashlight

- WERX S line:

The WERX S line of winches utilize winch user Control Feedback  System which provides;

  • Amp Meter.  This tells you how many amps you're winch is drawing. It shows how hard your winch is working.

  • Volt Meter.  This tells you your  batteries voltage or State Of Charge (SOC)

  • Complete with ultra bright flashlight

 - WERX E line:

The WERX E line remote is an ergonomically correct handle with a 12 foot remote cable.  Operation is through two stainless steel momentary switches.

  • Complete with ultra bright flashlight

WERX also utilizes a sealed remote connection to keep things clean between pulls.  So when you need it, its always ready for action
